Lead Free
Today, products used for potable water must comply with new lower lead standards…Are You Ready?
Overview of the Issue
Our industry is changing. California and Vermont have passed new legislation that lowers lead-content standards for plumbing fittings, fixtures, pipes, and valves that come into contact with water used for drinking or cooking. These new laws are in effect today. With other states looking at the possibility of following California and Vermont's example, it's our responsibility to help you meet these new standards.
Many of our products already meet these new Lead Free* standards, with more on the way every day. Also, we've developed WeAreLeadFree.net, with resources to help you understand this issue and make the change to Lead Free - this site includes, email alerts to keep you informed of new Lead Free developments and literature to help you evolve with our ever-changing industry.
